The poem is very short. It contains only eight lines. The poem begins with the speaker standing near window and looking out at the gold of November sunset. When he was looking out, he went to a nostalgic mood in his childhood period. When he was five or six years old, he used to watch a sunset and feel the beautiful and wonderful nature. His adulthood worries has suppressed all his joys and pleasures. He thinks the day turning into night in a very beautiful way. 


The main theme of the poem is non-ultimate freshness of nature in humans life. The speaker welcomes in relief from a suffering life.
